Sacred Web is a volunteer-run publication. Meet the team behind the Journal:

M. Ali Lakhani, KC is the Founder & Editor of Sacred Web: A Journal of Tradition and Modernity. He practiced as a lawyer for over 45 years and is a published author of several books on traditional metaphysics, modernity and literature. Raised in England, he lives in Canada, and founded Sacred Web in 1998.

Apart from the over 50 editions of Sacred Web, his publications include The Sacred Foundations of Justice in Islam (World Wisdom, 2006), The Timeless Relevance of Traditional Wisdom (World Wisdom, 2010), Faith and Ethics: The Vision of the Ismaili Imamat (Institute of Ismaili Studies and I.B. Tauris, 2018), and a collection of spiritual aphorism, When the Rose Blooms (The Matheson Trust, 2021). He has written for many journals, and has lectured to diverse international audiences on matters of perennial philosophy, Islam, Christianity, poetry, literature, education, jurisprudence and the law, and issues of tradition and modernity.

Karim Wadhwani serves as Digital Publication Lead for Sacred Web. In this role, Karim leads the journal’s digital strategy and oversees its online presence. He manages the website and digital publishing workflows, prepares articles and new volumes for digital release, and leads audience engagement through newsletters—helping to ensure the journal’s mission is effectively communicated in the digital sphere.

Professionally, Karim works in the environmental & social risk management space in the financial services sector. Karim practices photography with a focus on documenting cultures, landscapes, and architecture. His photographic work can be found on his website and social media.

Daniel Stanton serves as Publishing Support Volunteer for Sacred Web. In this capacity, Daniel supports the preparation of each edition by reviewing content, proofreading selected essays, and assisting with the publishing process. Working closely with the Digital Publishing Lead, Daniel helps ensure that article content meets the journal's standards for clarity, tone, and presentation.

Daniel is a traditional Catholic and an alumnus of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
