“Where Mercy, Love, & Pity dwell,
There God is dwelling too."
— The Divine Image (William Blake)
Would one, in afterlife,
Who heeds the sinners’ cries
To comfort them in grief,
Be denied Paradise
For not judging aright,
Thereby forsaking Light
For dim shadow? Or might
Mercy grant Pity’s right,
See Man in God’s image,
Find wholeness in each part,
His Face in each visage
And Heaven in each Heart?
The Gates open above,
First from within, through Love.
The Gates of Heaven
