The Kiss
"In Him we live and move and have our being."
What was it the Apostle was seeing?
The unity of all things created -
That with Divinity they are sated.
For time is comprised in Eternal Bliss;
'Tis but the remnant of a timeless kiss
From God unto God, like sun and its ray;
Now here we have more than mere words can say.
We live in this kiss, yet precious few know
This Love in their Heart which they did not sow;
For we are that kiss, and nothing ourselves;
He alone knows this, who in his Heart dwells.
The Wise Heart
"The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning."
Why did Solomon believe this?
For happiness in God is the way of His saints,
And love of Him is ultimate bliss.
"Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."
All things under the sun fade away;
Over the ephemeral wise hearts are mourning;
In Heaven's rapture their depths yet sway.
Two sides has the heart of the wise:
One is death, the other Paradise.
